Anneli’s 15 Years at SOL: „I love seeing cleanliness come to life!“

At the anniversary celebration in Tartu, one of the day’s honorees was cleaning service employee Anneli, who is marking 15 years at SOL. She shares how she entered this profession, what motivates her, and what she values most in her work.

Anneli’s 15 Years at SOL: „I love seeing cleanliness come to life!“

Anneli joined SOL through her previous workplace: „I was already working at MyFitness in the shopping center, then SOL took over the site, and I joined the company as well.“ That’s how her journey in the cleaning industry began. Anneli’s workday starts early in the morning. She takes care of the cleanliness of several small stores and, for nearly a year now, has also been responsible for keeping SOL’s Tartu office clean.

What does she love most about this job? „I love that I create cleanliness and see the results immediately. When something is dirty and I make it clean – that brings a great feeling!“ What motivates Anneli the most is positive feedback: „When someone says a kind word or gives a compliment, it boosts my motivation!“ She believes that even a small gesture of appreciation can make a person’s day much better.

There are challenges in the job, but mostly they are related to people. Anneli doesn’t find the cleaning process itself difficult: „Sometimes colleagues come to share their concerns, and I listen to them and try to give advice,“ she says. She feels that her colleagues appreciate her calm and balanced nature.

When asked what she would do if she weren’t working at SOL, she quickly replies that she has never thought about it: „As a child, I wanted to work with horses, even dreamed of becoming a veterinarian – we had a horse at home.“ Today, her passion for horses has been replaced by an interest in gardening: „I really enjoy gardening and growing flowers in an ecological way!“ Speaking about hobbies, Anneli says she would love to read more if only she had the time.

Anneli believes that over time, this job grows on you, which is why she recommends SOL to her friends. The most important thing is to notice colleagues more, because even a small compliment can make everyone’s day better.
