G4S Eesti Head of Fleet & Facilities Management Department: “SOL services are hassle-free”

G4S has been offering its clients security and surveillance services for over 30 years. The company has always taken care of its employees, clients and partners, which has allowed the company to grow and expand.
SOL Baltics has been cleaning G4S Eesti’s 3000 m2 headquarters in Tallinn for only 1.5 years but cooperation has been functioning smoothly. We have been working with smaller offices for a longer time, which assured the client that they can count on SOL.
200 people work at the G4S headquarters but if you count the patrols and technicians, nearly 300 employees visit the office every day. The company has offices in bigger cities such as Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu and Jõhvi as well as in smaller places like Kuressaare, Haapsalu, Narva, Rakvere, Valga, Paide and Jõgeva.
We interviewed G4S’s Head of Fleet & Facilities Management Department Andres Pastarus, who shared his thoughts and experiences regarding the cooperation between SOL and G4S. Pastarus has worked at the company for 25 years, filling different roles from Project Manager to Head of Fleet & Facilities Management Department. For many years now, he has been responsible for the maintenance of the organisation’s real estate. According to him, SOL’s contribution to G4S’s daily work is vital, especially in the cleaning department.
SOL’s daily activities in the G4S building include both nighttime and daytime cleaning, which ensures that the workrooms are always clean and tidy. The daytime cleaning staff keeps the workspace constantly maintained, cleans critical areas and quickly solves any occurring problems. Pastarus says, “The daytime cleaning service is an amenity service allowing us to do nighttime cleaning every other day.” According to him, they have found an effective system that ensures cleanliness at all times.
Like SOL, G4S has dedicated itself to being a trailblazer and example in the area of sustainability. The company has been focusing on waste as well as central waste management for years as part of their ESG goals. The ISO 14001 certificate and the Responsible Business Index Silver Label show the company’s dedication to promoting sustainable progress.
Cooperation with Sol has reduced the need to manage daily maintenance problems. Pastarus says that SOL’s services are hassle-free and reliable which is important in a field where problems can quickly accumulate. “Your company has strong middle-management training,” notes Pastarus. “Thanks to their knowledgeable work, the G4S rooms are clean and orderly, allowing us to focus on our work without distractions.”
Pastarus emphasised one specific SOL employee who has stood out with her work ethic. “Here we have SOL’s daytime cleaner Ljudmilla, who you can tell loves her work,” said Pastarus. “She moves around the building, carefully cleaning every nook and cranny. Her positive outlook and dedication are a great example of how the right person in the right place can make the whole workplace more enjoyable. Ljudmilla is a real specialist who can quickly and independently solve all coffee machine and employee lounge-related problems. That kind of dedication and care is priceless.”
The cooperation between G4S Eesti and SOL shows how the joint efforts of the two companies and the calculated start of a service, preceded by a pre-move clean, can lead to excellent results.
